Lecturer

Education

In 2014, Wiktor Piątkowski defended his doctoral dissertation in marketing in the media market at the Warsaw School of Economics and for many years he conducted classes in media-related subjects at various universities.

Workshops

Since 2010 he has been running screenwriting classes in Poland and abroad. Organized by Bahama Films, "Screenwriting for beginners" is the first commercial workshop in Poland on writing film scripts.

For over 13 years, over a thousand people participated in the film workshops led by Wiktor Piątkowski, including employees of most TV stations in Poland, production and distribution companies, as well as universities and film schools.

The graduates of the workshops got into their dream film studies in Poland and abroad, and many people started working as TV writers (e.g. since autumn 2016 Polsat has been broadcasting a daily series written entirely by graduates of the Bahama Films workshops).

Participants of the classes conducted by Wiktor Piątkowski were nominated and awarded in the Script Pro and Script Wars competitions, one graduate won the prize for the best screenplay at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, another had the opportunity to present the script created during the workshop at the Cannes festival and another one was nominated for an Oscar!

Wiktor Piątkowski also runs workshops and masterclasses abroad. As an international expert, he also cooperates with the American government organization USAID during programs developing film and television production in Ukraine. He participates in many festivals and industry events, also as a jury member (e.g. the international festival in Pilsen).
